Just asked for parallettes for Christmas so I can do things while watching tv. Gonna get my core going!

Runners Knee

Any one have experience? I dont run, but the symptoms are identical. Have a sharp pain in my knee where the thigh muscle meets the knee cap. Squatting is impossible at this point, walking stairs is excrutiating, hell even just bending the knee is painful to say the least….

Yea ima ibuprofen and ice…i dont run though which is why its weird, but from what i researched just being active can cause it. So im just guessing years of abusing my body is finally catching up

Yeah my knee acts up when we do OLY lifts, box jumps, jump roping, things of the like. Might just be a little wear and tear. Rest up, hope it feels better!

So what? You failed your finals. You gained some weight. So what? You’re single again. You lost your job. So what? What now? You live. You try again. That’s what.

Its weird cause i dont run or cardio at all for that matter.

Well…I’ve never had runners knee but I’ve dislocated/sprained my knee and the symptoms/pain during recovery can be very similar. My orthopedist just has me rest, ice, and ibuprofen it for a couple days then yes my way back into things. May want to check on your running form though if that’s what you might think it’s from! Pose, fall, pull is a great way to learn good form, which can be found if you Google. The quad muscles are what hold your kneecap in place so just be careful! :-)
